LECTURES

Looking through the rear view mirror and moving on

A restrospective talk with illustrated with many of the quilts I have created over the last 40 years.

A story of many adventures and happenings during my quilting life and moving on to current activities.

A Writer’s Tale

Tight deadlines, mini disasters and creative joy. This lecture includes all the fun and the difficulties encountered when writing books about quilt making. Illustrated with slides and some of the quilts from the books.

Quilts, Quilts, Quilts!

My quilts and their stories and some of the interesting happenings in my life as a quilt maker.

During this lecture I will show a selection of my quilts and talk about the provenance of the fabrics and the influences behind the designs. Many of my quilts have been strongly influenced by the primitive designs and techniques used by the early quilt makers. Some are made from samples and others from second hand and antique fabrics all of which have their own history.

The Shirt Quilt Collection

A talk about my collection of quilts made from shirting fabric and old shirts. I have always loved working with these fabrics and will bring my collection of shirt quilts to share with you.
